First let me thank you for your interest in Zap Electrolysis and Skin Care. I
founded Zap Electrolysis is 2003 but my education started somewhere around 1993.
My introduction to electrolysis was as a client first. As many of you know, it
can be addicting, and I've had electrolysis done on almost every body part. So
when I'm working on you, I know how it feels. And I know how wonderful it is to
finally be rid of unwanted hair.
Skincare seemed the next logical step as I was repeatedly asked for advice on
various skin issues as well as which products were recommended. Having had my own
long-term struggle with extremely sensitive and often blemished skin, I'm hoping
to use everything I've learned from my past experiences with doctors and products
as well as my current and future educational endeavors to offer you the best skin
care treatments and advice. It is said there are those who do and those who teach.
I do and then I teach to you.
On a personal level, I am an animal advocate and am very passionate about animal
rescue. I hope you will find time to checkout a few of the great organizations on
the links page. There are so many unwanted animals. Please adopt from a local
shelter or rescue and avoid the "puppy mills." And of course, Spay and Neuter!
See you soon!

I am a mother of four children. While living in Arizona I served as
PTA president & ran our volunteer school lunch program. I graduated
from Northern Arizona University with a BS in Sociology & was presented
the Senior Scholar Award. I worked as counselor for court ordered
domestic violence abusers and victims. I established the first Transition
House in Lake Havasu City, Az for women and children of domestic violence.
I also served as chairperson of the Northern Arizona Task Force Against
Domestic Violence.
Returning to my home state of California I was exploring ways to support
myself. I found one consistent thread or should I say hair in my life. Yes,
folks I was stroking my chin hairs thinking absently about making another
electrology appointment when it dawned on me. I've spent huge parts of my
life tweezing. I started removing my own hair removal at the age of 12 when
I sprouted neck hairs. Now I get paid to help others rid themselves of their
unwanted hair. The irony makes me smile! I do understand!
If I'm not at work you can find me collecting rocks, taking classes, hanging
with my girlfriends or watching the clouds...smiling.

When I arrived in the United States from the Ukraine 5 years ago, I had a few hairs on my upper lip
that I was self conscious about and I wanted them removed. I chose electrology over laser hair removal
because I wanted something that was permanent. I was so thrilled with the results that I decided to
become an electrologist myself, so that I could help people who were struggling with the same issue.
I can personally relate to anyone dealing with an unwanted hair problem. After graduating from school
and getting my license (and having a baby boy), I was lucky enough to come and work with the Zap!
Electrolysis and Skin Care team. I feel it's important for every client to get the best possible
treatment and advice from me with regard to hair removal, because I want them to be happy with the
final results.

I have a lifelong love affair with all things esthetic which has guided my career in
becoming a licensed professional skin care expert. I love to share my passion, vision
and knowledge to enhance the health and beauty of my clients. I began my career in the
fashion industry as a clothing designer and stylist; however, the skin care profession
is my passion. I am a very results driven esthetician and I enjoy helping my clients
attain beautiful skin through treatments, education and establishing a personalized
skin care regime. I specialize in the treatment of acne, sun damage reversal, skin
beautification programs, anti aging remedies as well as at home skin care renewal
products. As continuing education is of paramount importance to me, I am always
researching and learning about the newest technologies.

My hair journey started when I was in Junior High School. All I could see was the
hair on me and it began to consume my life. In physical education class I would wear
a sweatshirt in 100 degree weather because I didn't want anyone to see my furry arms
and I would always keep my hair down because of the hair on the side of my face.
Throughout the years I have used all different types of temporary hair removal methods
like shaving, waxing, tweezing, bleaching and I even got laser hair removal on my face.
Unfortunately laser hair removal didn't work for me and I was very disappointed because
I was told it would be my answer. After being let down by laser, I stumbled upon
Electrolysis (my life saver). The transformation I saw was unbelievable and I became
a whole new person. I gained self confidence and I wasn't hiding anymore. Throughout
college I was going back and forth between Early Childhood Education and Psychology.
I decided that I wanted to help others with their unwanted hair and that was when I
signed up for school to get my Electrolysis license. I really enjoy being able to help
rid others of their unwanted hair because I know what the whole process feels like and
how happy people can be after they see the results.

My journey in electrolysis began as a steadfast client during my late teenage years. Suffering with
the negative side effects of unwanted hair from PCOS and consequent battles with birth control pills,
I found the incredible process of electrolysis and began to get my freedom back! Electrolysis was my
salvation and the only way that I could hold my head high. I knew that I was working towards permanently
removing the hair, forever, giving me tremendous peace of mind. Now in my 30's I have decided to become
a practitioner to give back and share the knowledge of my experience with other women looking to free
themselves from unwanted hair. Quality of work is a source of pride so I focus on working with each
client's individual needs. I concentrate on client education and finding the precise level needed for
each individual client on each area of the body. After all, no two clients and areas are alike! I am
very positive and passionate about this process because it works! When I'm not working as an electrologist
I enjoy practicing my spanish and french, working on polishing my photography portfolio and completing
my MA in Counseling Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. I look forward to working with you!
